The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso (with Red Gems) is for sure the best native Friuli red grape. It is probably also the best Refosco variety that came to us from the Ancient, since the Romans used to grow it in Friuli more than 2000 years ago.
 
Ruby red coloured with violet glares, intense complex scent with notes of wild blackberry and grass and a bitterish after-taste, slightly tannic.
